Do you have your Glasses to See the funny side of life? ComediHa! Fest-Québec unveils a brilliant program to celebrate 20 years!

To mark this occasion, ComediHa! Fest-Québec, presented by Vidéotron, in collaboration with Loto-Québec, offers a lineup that is both dazzling and diverse, which brings together more than 500 artists and entertainers, celebrities, breakthrough comedians and international performers. In the heart of the capital, festival-goers will be able to create their own humorous journey among more than 350 shows and participative activites in nearly 20 unusual venues, including three experiential and festive villages, including the brand-new Village D’Youville. There’s something for all tastes to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the largest francophone comedy festival in the world.



Just a few steps from Palais Montcalm, a new ephemeral village will be created at Place D’Youville where thematic shows, the Soirées 20 ans ComediHa!, will be presented on the Loto-Québec Stage. Glasses Pass holders will be admitted to the privilege zone where they will be guaranteed the best seats for these thematic evenings during which the participation of festival-goers will be encouraged. With more than a million downloads per month, Mike Ward Sous écoute is the most listened to French-language comedy podcast in the world. Back after an acclaimed performance in 2016, Mike will record six episodes of his famed podcast in front of a live audience. In addition, back by popular demand, Roast Battle ComediHa! will now be presented every night at 9:30 pm, just after Piment Fort animated by Normand Brathwaite, who making his triumphant return after sold-out performances every night last year. Several headliners are also expected on the stage of the Shows Mystère, presented by Vidéotron, where the identify of the comedians will only be discovered at the beginning of the shows.



Festival-goers will be able to create their own comedic itinerary by attending one, two, three or even four shows per evening. In addition to Palais Montcalm, Théâtre Petit Champlain and Village D’Youville, ComediHa! Fest-Québec is taking over the Grande Allée with Village Vidéotron located at Place George-V and Village Pigeonnier in Parc de la Francophonie.


Festival-goers will be able to enjoy fun outdoor installations, including a live jukebox, a giant zipline and a dunk tank, as well as attend numerous shows presented in unusual venues such as the Ha!ngar freight containers, a giant cube, big top tents, outdoor stages, a bus, lively terraces, a beer garden and more!


In the heart of the Grande Allée, imagine a gathering place, a fun zone, of games, refreshments, a not-to-be-missed area to spend a pleasant and surprising moment with friends and colleagues or as a couple on the prettiest ephemeral terrace of the summer. The MiHa!M will seduce festival-goers with its offerings of a variety of Québec beers, original cocktails and cuisine that highlight the best of local gastronomic delights and talented Québec City chefs.



The Galas ComediHa! presented by Vidéotron will be back at Palais Montcalm, with P-A Méthot, Phil Roy, Kev Adams, Les Denis Drolet, Pierre Hébert and Fabien Cloutier. The Soirée Bonne Fête ComediHa! hosted by Normand Brathwaite will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Festival.


Original concept shows and content make up the majority of the Fest’s program. The ComediHa! Club Best of, presented by Loto-Québec and L’Heure de pointe will feature Les Grandes Crues, Guillaume Wagner, François Léveillée, Kim Lévesque-Lizotte, Alex Perron, Philippe-Audrey Larrue-St-Jacques, Daniel Grenier, Martin Vachon, Olivier Martineau and Mathieu Cyr.


Once again this year, new-found humour and emerging artists will be in the spotlight. Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais, Alexandre Forest, Jean-François Provençal, Julien Corriveau, Franky, Mike Beaudoin, Gabrielle Caron, Pascal Cameron, Alex Roof, Charles Pellerin, François Boulianne and Coco Béliveau will participate in various shows at the Festival, including the “60 Minutes de Stand-Up” Shows and the “Show XXX”.


After the success of Comédie sur mesure on Z, the show will see the light of day for the first time on stage as comedians take turns to gently roast heads of the city of Québec City and their. A mix between a burn and a homage with just the right amount of teasing. Comédie dans le noir will be back in total darkness. Will you be able to guess who the invited comedians are by just their voices?


Every evening, improv fans will be able to watch one-on-one standoffs, thanks to the Théâtre de la LNI and the Punch Club Man2Man. Podcast enthusiasts will also find something with a series of different podcasts recorded in front of a live audience, including 3 Bières, Wagner, Le carré de sable and Pars-moé pas. At the international level, the Humour du monde series will bring together top comedians from several French-speaking countries, including Véronique Gallo, Laura Laune and Thomas Wiesel. Magic buffs will not be disappointed with the performances of Vincent C and mentalist Fabien Olicard. On the English side, don’t miss Randy Feltface, a bold Australian puppet who was particularly popular with the Edinburgh Fringe festival crowd. ComediHa! Glasses – The official pass of ComediHa!Fest-Québec, giving access to more than 350 shows in 12 days, is now on sale at at a cost of $60 +tax.

New this year, festival-goers will be able to purchase an unlimited Weekend Pass from the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) at This pass gives unlimited access to RTC services from 5:30 p.m. on Friday to the end of the service on Sunday, on both weekends.
